Feb 22 Col. Poyer disobeys Parliament's command to hand over Pembroke Castle to Fleming until the arrears of his troops have been paid. Adj.-General Fleming was sent by Fairfax to disband the troops at Pembroke. This defiance spread through all of Laugharne's troops in South Wales.
