Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality is an attempt to simulate reality in a computer system.

High-resolution graphics are displayed in a visor and a glove is used to measure hand movement which is used as input. The user sees a virtual image of the glove and can hold or manipulate 'virtual' objects.

Examples of the use of VR...
  • some surgical techniques can be simulated.
  • military conflict situations
  • architecture - walk through a building
  • design work (CAD)
  • games
